Bye-Bye Beautiful Curls

It has been a fight everyday to convince Brooke that she needs to have her hair combed. It usually takes a lot of convincing to have her stand still long enough to comb through the tangled mess. I've only had her hair trimmed three times since she was born and I've always loved her beautiful curls. The constant hair-combing battle and the beautiful curls put me in a difficult place.

Over the past month I decided that a shorter hairstyle would be better for Brooke AND me. Summer is coming and she would be cooler with shorter locks. Her hair was also definitely long enough to donate to Locks of Love, so I took the plunge and made an appointment to have her hair cut. I scheduled the appointment a week in advance in case I changed my mind. Today was the day and both Brooke and I woke excited for the change. Rex came to watch and a swear he got a little misty eyed as we braided her hair for the last time.
