I don't remember anticipating a movie's debut like I have the Twilight movie. We bought our tickets online last week and planned a girls night out. The theater was packed - pretty sure it was sold out. Luckily, no one sat behind me and talked (it usually always happens to me), but there were plenty of squeals throughout the movie which didn't bother me at all.
Was the movie as great at the books? No. Did I have a good time? Yes!
Afterwards we went to Chili's and had way too much dessert and plenty of laughs.

Sounds like fun! Did you go at midnight? Screenings were sold out here and I heard they were running the movie 24 hours a day. I have to admit I haven't read any of her books.
Fun! I was in line to go into our showing and thought, I wonder if Bekki's movie has let out? About the time i was going to call you Jen called me! :)
I liked (most of it) too, we will have to dish tomorrow when i get Maren! :)
Even in Des Moines the premiere night was crazy! I went on a little Girl's Night out showing too. We had to stand in line once we got our tickets while we waited for the theater to open, then everyone started running to their seats...it was hilarious. I also loved all of the teenage girls that took out their cell phones and took pictures of the Edward/Bella kiss! It was so funny just being there the first night.
I'm like the most boring female ever. I was asked by two different groups to go to this movie and I turned them both down because I hate standing in line. I figure i can go when I don't have to show up at the theater an hour or more early. I know. It's like I'm 70.
I'm glad you had a good time, though.
Totally loved the movie but the books definitely give more then the movie did!
